not in it’s natural form
all is the like, just different characteristics
if you consider no characteristics a characteristic...
but in the way in which we’ve been conditioned to understand it

reconciliation
that’s the keyword
it’s been difficult to reconcile our differences
educations, upbringings, & backgrounds
in such contrast...
the same
but one is not the other

and yet this is another
not to be compromised
and one is the other
removed of pretense

of what constitutes good from great
while winding through the walking paths of Montrose Beach
I believe we arrived upon this

That is to say that there is a risk
in buying into Gerber & Graco
Huggies and the like...
to give in
to mellow out...
or as Rod Stewart would promulgate,
with the little fucker on the way,
‘turning my whole world around’

and I hypothesize for you
that there is no reason to remove from ourselves...
all the things...
the subtleties...
for the simple sake of blending in...
for becoming invisible
